THE PLACE WHERE PIGS ARE SAFE AND LEARNING GROWS
THE PLACE WHERE PIGS ARE SAFE AND LEARNING GROWS
We are a small non-commercial charity and are, therefore, not open to the public on a daily basis but you can book a visit via the appointments button at the bottom of the page. Numbers are limited in order to protect the ethos and mission of the sanctuary and the animals that live here. It also ensures an enjoyable experience for you whilst you visit. We have a rolling diary that updates every couple of months so that we can accommodate schools and larger groups during term times, so have a look periodically to check availability.
Our gates open at 11am and remain open for around 30 minutes. If you arrive after that time, please simply call the number on the gate and a team member will come and let you in. This ensures that only booked visits can enter and thus, not ruin, your visit experience.
We are open from 11am-3pm and you are welcome to stay as long as you want between those hours. Suggested latest entry by 2pm for your to enjoy time with the pigs.
We have 51 pigs here at the sanctuary, all different colours, shapes, sizes, ages and characters. Most can be hand fed and petted over the fences.
You will have a 'common sense' safety briefing before entering the main area at the sanctuary and a treat bucket to feed the pigs is included in your booking. We adhere to any mandatory guidelines for health & safety and there are plenty of signs and guidance around the sanctuary.
We also have our small animal family for you to meet including our rescued hens, lambs and guinea pigs.
We have a small shop & cafe selling snacks, drinks and merchandise.
We hold other ticketed events throughout the year and we post out these dates and events on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter with plenty of notice.
We also offer School Trips, Group Visits, Private Parties and One-to-One sessions which can be booked directly via email info@curlytails.org
We take private visits/groups at a set amount and maximum number where you will have a private tour and get to know the pigs, their stories, feed and pet them with a personal guide. These visits usually last about 90 minutes.
Follow us on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter for daily updates. @curlytailspigs
We are a non-funded charity and receive no grants or government funding for animal care and rely upon your visits and additional donations to keep the sanctuary running.
